| 790194 | 2009-07-09 02:28:00 | Hi all, I have created some nice pretty pictures to send to club members as part of our email campaign. I want to send these out as the body of an email, so the recipient can see it as soon as he/she opens the email. In the past I have just attached the images directly onto the email, but most email clients automatically block images, which frustrates the recipient, who then emails me, telling me he can't see anything...! I have tried importing the image (from my server) into Word 07 and saving as an html file, but when I send it, the recipient gets the old white box with a red cross. Is there a simple way that an idiot like me can use to achieve the desired result? I'm not a spammer. Yea, promise. |

| 790196 | 2009-07-09 02:45:00 | I would make an on-line gallery with Picassa or similar, then email the link. This would be the least annoying as people dont have to download all the images in their email client. |

| 790198 | 2009-07-09 03:11:00 | I have all images etc loaded on my web server already. Linking to the image is no problem, but most email clients still block the image by default. I just want them to be able to open the email via Outlook, Hotmail etc, and BLAM! Full colour images and text embedded in the email body, without opening a browser or downloading, or unticking anything.... Thanks for the suggestions! Truly appreciated!! |

This has advantages of online backup, reoccurring downloads for all, and collaboration if required . I found HTML images hit and miss (images blocked sometimes) when sending direct in emails to family members worldwide . So we all now use social media/free online servers/ISP servers; i . e . Image Upload:Family Members download - simple . |
