789731 2009-07-07 04:38:00 I want to create some computer network maps, both for home, study and work, i lost my visio during our house move, is there an open source alternative or free program that would do the same thing? aidanmaz (7180)

Has anyone found anything else that matches Visio, I have looked a DIA but seems to be a bit plain in comparison. Have looked at Gliffy but is only online.

Must run on Windows and Linux

789738 2009-08-25 08:38:00 Several here to select from (en.kioskea.net) -- Used to be one called Edraw (http://www.edrawsoft.com/) - it was on giveawayoftheday once - may still have the key to activate it, have to hunt it out, if i can just remember where I put it :) wainuitech (129)

789740 2009-08-25 09:25:00 Visual Paradigm lets you draw some diagrams which you would use Visio for, however it's predominantly used for UML diagrams. It's also quite a clunky piece of software (in my opinion), however some people in the IT industry I know swear by it. somebody (208)
