643006 2008-05-24 01:59:00 Thx. That's useful info.

[Edit] it also explains why drying meat into "biltong" makes it taste so wonderful. I've made it myself a few times.

(ps - a thousand times better than the American jerky)

643007 2008-05-27 03:39:00 You are all a bunch of cannibals! Leave all the beautiful animals alone! If you heard a pig screaming as its being slaughtered, your pork chops may never taste the same again. I cant believe that in 2008 humans are still eating animals. Thats why western society has such massive colon cancer rates. royaloaks (8205)

My ancestors didn't fight their way to the top of the food chain for me to eat grass!!! Pork chops.... mmmmmmm! :D

It' s not eating meat that is the issue. It's eating an excess of meat. That's not the same thing and that's why "Western society" has high colon cancer rates. Doesn't mean the rest of the world is out there slugging back tofu and hugging little kittens, or have you never been to a food market in Asia?

You understanding of the word "cannibal" seems tenuous at best. I trust you don't possess a leather belt or wallet or bag, or put blood and bone fertiliser on your garden.
