641605 2008-02-27 08:04:00 you can't just lump all people under the same label of "will tailgate nomatter what" . if you're doing 80kph they have an excuse, do 100 and you'll find it isn't so bad

You're a fool it you break the 2 second rule . :stare:

It doesn't matter who you are, or how you drive, you need to consider other road users .

641606 2008-02-27 08:25:00 2 second rule is pretty good in my books. Pity others dont seem to think so. rob_on_guitar (4196)

I think some people must have mistaken it for a '2-meter rule'.

Ironically, those who tailgate and constantly switch lanes on the Auckland motorways are often responsible for the stop-start snarl-ups. Keep your distance and traffic tends to flow more smoothly.

641608 2008-02-27 09:36:00 I went to a trip to Tauraunga a cuople of weeks ago. Worst driving experience ever. Worst driving there then it is in Auckland. I thought I must be having a rough day their, but even the locals comment on how terrible it is there. rob_on_guitar (4196)

exactly - don't hold me up:lol: (i don't tailgate, but i also find i very rarely have tailgaters myself, maybe something to do with sitting at or slightly over the limit)

oh they do try....

like when instead of forming a nice tidy queue to the left of the lane, cars park all over the show forcing me into median strips etc etc

then you get the occasional w*nker who tries to deliberately cut you off, usually a middle ages male driving a v8

while yes, the bike is a very good vehicle for passing with in both heavy traffic and on the open road, there are safety issues and the occasional stories of people using cars as weapons:yuck:

641612 2008-02-28 09:03:00 nz drivers dont care about anyone else on the road, they think that they are the only ones on it,
here is an idea, tomorrow please dont tailgate its not helping anyone (and it will only make me drive slower!), and just give way or let it just one car, its a start but it should help :)

641613 2008-02-28 21:25:00 After the ban you said the above and picked on my name . Get a grip mate .

Maybe you are just too good as a driver . I am I am no way as good as you are

Wait on a moment there, wasnt this you?

Lol this guy does swear a lot . . . haha . . he probably thinks he's too and too good for us . Love to backup the traffic if I see him in person, he'll probably end on the front page doing stupid things . Like in a body bag . Sign up for a James Bond . . eh . . maybe Johnny English

Do I have no right to reply to the obvious slur? The comment about purposely hold up traffic is idiotic .

yesterday i passed my full car driver licence test :D

apparently i did a very good job... most people don't check mirrors nor blind spots, and apparently he gets alot of people speeding in the test!
