| 643043 | 2008-02-24 22:52:00 | People on some forums don't notice ghosting on VA monitors anyway, so I'd go for the 2407wfp-HC or the newly released 2408wfp. Also bear in mind that viewing angles are more important the larger the screen (depending on how close you sit to it). I'm hoping to get a 2408wfp in the next few months when it falls in price a bit... But I guess if your requirements are quite basic (that is, you dont need good colour reproduction, contrast, or viewing angles), then I'd just get the cheapest TN screen available. |

Its selling for $NZ 875 in the US, so dell are ripping NZers off at the $1200 price they are selling it for here. The 2408 replaces the 2407, and they are not selling the 2407 in the US or in Oz, yet they are still selling it on the NZ website, so it appears they are dumping the old model in NZ. I guess the 2408 will drop $200 in price when they remove the 2407. |

At one stage they had removed the model completly, and only had the budget $799 TN panel on it. There was one version of the 2407 that had a major problem with ghosting, which is one reason I was waiting for the upgraded version. |

| 643048 | 2008-02-25 03:42:00 | I think the one you are referring to is the 2407wfp-HC. Some people noticed some inverse ghosting on the HC version, which was not present on the non-HC versions. You could see it by changing your desktop to grey, and then moving your mouse around, or dragging a white icon (eg a txt file); a visible black ghosting would follow the mouse. However only some people notice it. On first impressions, the replacement, 2408wfp has resolved this issue :D |

I figure, if you're going wide screen, why not go 1080 all the way? Depending on the quality of the monitor's scaler, 720 HD content may look fuzzy due to the monitor upscaling to fit its native resolution. There is a noticeable jump in price though, but 'certain' online retailers make pricing 'errors' from time to time, and orders made on those pricing errors are honoured. |

| 643052 | 2008-02-26 05:00:00 | I am running an AOC 210V and am very happy with it. The Viewsonic is good as well. Regarding the 22" Samsung, I have heard some dodgy things about them. They have been putting different quality panels in the same model. Some of them are good, but some of them are crap. |
