642851 2008-02-24 00:41:00 May I ask what is a one-dayer?
Would this be a one day cricket match?

Is there a two dayer, three dayer four dayer or five dayer?

Yes, anything that lastst more than one day and usually upto 5 days is called a test.

And yes, people do watch cricket. Its a brilliant game and I too am happy that its being shown free-to-air.

642852 2008-02-24 00:42:00 Thats right one dayer is a day / night match, then theres a test, which is 5 days or something I think.

Then there's a 20/20 game (20 overs per side).

642854 2008-02-26 02:08:00 If you had been watching the cricket you would have realized why all programs were running late. Live sports events are difficult to control and to their credit they kept the cricket on to the end even though it made the news late.

If you had set your recorder to keep recording to the end of the tape you would have been covered for any late running. Bit late now though.

Someone here might have a copy they can give you.

It's also not like Prime makes a habit of this either. If they had killed the cricket to run their normal programming there would be legions of people bitching about that.

Does no one remember back to the good old days of live sports on TV, when normal programming ran late all the time in favour of assorted sports events? I saw that 55 minutes late message when I flicked onto Prime and got quite nostalgic for the old days when cricket (without ads all over it) was considered more important than standard programming.

And I don't even watch cricket.
