641565 2008-02-25 02:35:00 100km/hr is slow ON THE RACE TRACK. You seem to be confusing the race track with the open road. The open road has unpredicable events which is why they limit it to 100km/hr and people vary tremendously in skill and also there are all sorts of vehicles on the open road. There maybe times it is safe to do 120km/hr but whether you like it or not, the law makers have dictated that you shall not go faster than 100km/hr cos if you do and we catch you, we will penalise you.

Aren't you like 13 yr old, go wipe your mouth, your dribbling. Oh whats with the WE bit, you playing cops and robbers? OMG, LMFAO

641567 2008-02-25 02:50:00 Do you want to tell me how that relates to me, in denial, Jeez H, a Harley, isnt that a motorbike, duh!, and AFAIK, the shoulder of each lane in wide enough for a motorcar....what do you think people on 1 lane roads do mate?. I cant believe I am replying to this ****!

There was no shoulder, just a steep drop, no chance of pulling left. This was just an example of the unexpected happening. A Harley isn't a motorcycle it is a 300kg lump of metal that could probably dent even a Holden.

People on 1 lane roads pull into a farm gate and wait.

LOL, just for you PaulD, ALL single lanes are wide enough for 2 cars in most cases. The Harley prolly had heaps of space, STOP bleating, you sound like an old woman!

641570 2008-02-25 02:59:00 This happened to me on the Takaka hill road on Monday. No one in my car knows how the guy on the Harley managed to get back on his side of the line. If we hadn't been going uphill to start with he wouldn't have had the space to do it.

I see that very frequently, not normally motorcycles, but SUVs. I drive that hill 3 or 4 times a month, and I haven't had a non-eventful trip so far.

Non-eventful being not needing to brake and swerve like a maniac to avoid someone coming the other way on your side of the road.

Yeah sorry wratterus, I get fired up sometimes from the unbelievable stupidity of some of these posts. Some people need the obvious spoon fed them I swear.

I haven't survived a long driving history without having to slow down to >80Km, some of the posts here prattle on like I drive hell for leather 24/7.

I have had a long couple of weeks work without rest, I tend to lose my patience with people sometimes, guess its my age!

No worries, FYI, I agree with pretty much everything you've said.

It's just arguing for the sake of arguing, theres no real point to it.

I think your brain is dribbling rubbish . We was the officialdom WE, not me ya plonker .

You are the sort who would never admit he was in the wrong if you ever have an accident and of course you never will be because you are such a great driver  . You insult people and swear because you know you talk alot of rubbish . Its all about you . You don't want to share the road with people that don't think and act like you . They are nana's or grandpa's or young kids . I have been driving longer than you and actually have a different attitude to you (amazing isn't it) . IN MOST SITUATIONS 100KM/HR IS FAST ENOUGH ON THE OPEN ROAD (if you say it long enough, you will eventually believe it) . Now say it again .
