| 790168 | 2009-07-09 01:56:00 | Can anyone point me in the way of a tool that will allow me to save this (www.tv3.co.nz) so I don't have to watch it streaming? The DownloadHelper addon for Firefox doesn't work at all on this page, and Orbit doesn't work either Disclaimer - Apologies if this is a bit dodgy, but I don't think it's technically wrong to rip streaming media? It's a publicly televised show, and I've no intention of uploading it anywhere else. Mods, please remove this thread if it contravenes forum rules. :p |

| 790169 | 2009-07-09 02:00:00 | Don't think you can from that site. Each addon or tool that you use to try rip it, it will just download some other bollocks and not the actual show. Your best bet would be to get it from somewhere else. :suspicious: |

| 790170 | 2009-07-09 02:25:00 | Keepvid didn't like it :( You could *try* starting it, pressing pause, letting the whole video buffer (right until it's finished), then looking in your temporary internet files and sorting the files by largest first. It might be something like "tmp115.tmp", simply rename it to a ".flv". However, it is a risky method (in that the file might not even be there) so don't pin your hopes on it working. Good Luck :). |
