| 644951 | 2008-02-29 10:13:00 | Hi, I have a wireless modem router d-link dsl-g604t. I have a wireless laptop and a pc. I want to connect my usb printer to the wireless network. I bought a cheap second hand print server router d-link di-704up. Which I am trying to connect to my wireless router to enable my to print from my wireless laptop. I have my adsl coming through my wireless modem router then out throught a lan port into the wan port of my router print server and then out from a lan port to my pc. The internet connection works fine and the printer works from my pc to the print server. I am trying to set up my laptop to print via the wireless router then to the router print server. I have loaded the printer drivers onto my laptop and have tryed to set it up like my pc IE changing the printer port to the ip address of print server. Is this possible to do ? Thanks |

Doing it that way your PC and printer are on a different network to the wireless router and laptop. To make it easier I would connect the cable from the wireless router LAN port to a LAN port on the print server router. You will need to change the print server IP address to match the wireless router network IP address range. This will make put everything on the same network. |
