2008-02-27 20:53:00 | Reading some comments about cricket in a recent thread got me thinking. What sport do you find boring. About 50 - 60 years ago I remember the first car speedway event being run at Wembley stadium. An American group came over with their cars and gave a demo in front of a crowd more used to motorcycle speedway. By about half way through the program just about most of the spectators had given up and gone home. "You can see more exciting motoring on the London to Brighton road any day of the week" was one comment. I must admit that since then I have watched some events on TV but still find my views match those expressed above. But the contestants seem to enjoy themselves. Tom

2008-02-27 21:04:00 | I'm even bored sh*tless with the Super 14 these days. I don't watch TV that much, so I think I'll watch some cricket tests @ 5 days in stead. sarel

2008-02-27 22:41:00 | All sports are boring to watch. Its only fun if you are participating. And then some are still boring. About the only things I can watch are mens gymnastics, and only for a while, as its just perving really.

But I guess some people still find it really exciting to watch, like how my dad gets all excited when he's watching rugby. If I were measure boringness though, then Golf would be at the top of my list, both watching and playing. |

2008-02-27 23:45:00 | +1 for nascar, I would rather watch my washing machine go round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round, and at least with the washing machine I get something useful out of it, (even if it is just my jocks) English soccer, Overpaid foreign millionaires charging round the field for 90 minutes for a nil all draw, I could overnight revolutionise soccer with 3 rule changes, Pay for play - as in if the team looses they don't get paid and the money they should have been paid is put into a fund to buy new players for next season Testicle check - so we can make sure they are actually men and not a pack of girls blouses, who burst in to tears and writhe in agony when someone bumps them Loose 4 players from either side - wouldn't it be exciting to go to a soccer match and see someone score a goal!!
