644185 2008-02-27 08:33:00 Do You use online storage to store your files?

Does not include emails.

I am thinking of getting it just wondering how many other members have it.

Cheers Radium

644187 2008-02-27 08:44:00 Yes but not for private stuff .

What I use Savefile (http://savefile . com/) for storing items, FREE and can create a download link for people to download the file to their PC, esp if its to big to email .

From Memory the file stays there for 60 days unless its downloaded, then the timer starts again . You can of course get the paid one with greater storage and no time limits .

If you look at This Thread ( . pcworld . co . nz/showthread . php?t=87576" target="_blank">pressf1 . pcworld . co . nz) Number 5 I created a direct link to a Zipped file jjjjj Was having problems opening, I unzipped it and uploaded .

If you check the location/properties of that file you will see its on savefile

644189 2008-02-27 08:50:00 Yes, but not for much, just for a small number of files I need to access and edit from multiple locations. maccrazy (6741)
644190 2008-02-27 08:55:00 Never had. Internet is just not fast enough and then there is the extra maintenance issues I need to consider and the fees. Extra work to maintain that thing.

Photo's def does not work out, when you have like 500MB to up/download. Prices these days I heard 2GB is now about $60, its so cheap that external hdd with the memory card readers are not that good of an option now, they are fragile and more expensive, I could just take 4 or 8GB memory cards with me for that trip.

I don't store per say, that's why I voted no.
I do have a personal website and a personal photo gallery in jpeg low quality pictures at low resolution like 500x400 pixels each. I arn't storing anything but just sharing them. I upload them, if I lost them I don't care to download them :D

644192 2008-02-27 09:17:00 I use Mozy to backup all my .f90, .m, and .bat files. It happens automatically every few hours. And it costs nothing.
These are (usually) very small ASCII files containing computer code, but they contain a lot of IP. I'm more concerned about recovering if the house burns down or my computer gear gets stolen than about security. Anyway, who could follow my spaghetti code, let alone want to pirate it?

644193 2008-02-27 09:55:00 Yes. On my VPS. Erayd (23)
644194 2008-02-27 16:27:00 Does this include mailing things to yourself in GMail?

I do that all the time...and I have over 10 addresses...and with all that storage available...it is free.

Right now you can get 6.5G storage on each screen name.
