643954 2008-02-27 02:18:00 Just had 6 calls in as many minutes, and their website confirms it, which is a nice change. Although they say it is just a problem in the North Island...here in Nelson it's down too.

networkstatus.telstraclear.co.nz

Orcon hasn't had any ADSL issues lasting more then half an hour for over 12 months here now...

643956 2008-02-27 03:08:00 I was gonna say..

They don't seem to have a separate section on their faults page for cable, which I found a little strange.

643957 2008-02-27 03:11:00 Yea just had a call from a customer who uses TelstraClear and their ADSL is down in Whangarei.
Funny thing is though they have been on the phone to Telstra's support line and they said it must be a problem with the customers router

643959 2008-02-27 03:22:00 That must be like the time a few years back, when some contractor cut the cable in half coming to Wainui at around 7.00pm - no TV, Internet , yet the phone worked - the guy at Telstra said I must be calling on a Cell as theres a 1 Mtr section of the cable missing and the phones are down as well - Nope - on the Telstra Line  wainuitech (129)
643960 2008-02-27 03:55:00 Looks like its the ADSL only,

Just had a lady bring her lappie around as she could connect but not ping, browse or send/receive emails on dialup. Vista reported "limited connectivity", whatever that means.

No problems using another ISP's dialup account on same computer so it must be an issue with Paradise. Their website says they did have issues but had been resolved. Not yet, methinks.
