| 643464 | 2008-02-25 19:48:00 | I get a laugh everytime I see the new Lotto ad where the old geezer goes back to France to find his WWII girlfriend, expecting her to look the same in the photo of her taken back then. When he knocks on the door where she lives and this old bag comes out smacking her lips together with a toothless mouth. :) |

I know if my father was still alive today he would get a laugh out of it. :) Oh well, I grant you one WW11 vet's opinion from beyond the vale and raise you three WW1 veteran uncles, similarly departed. My opinion of their opinion is that they would think it shallow and offensive. But as I said, that is only my opinion. My uncles certainly wouldn't have thought this, being completely unreconstructed men of their generation, but I also think it is grossly sexist. |
