| 791690 | 2009-07-15 01:57:00 | Hi Anyone know of any free software/shareware that will AUTOMATICALLY convert a list of 150 URLs saved as text (using Notebook) into a list of HTML clickable links. I dont want to use MS Office! Thanks in advance. |

Simply open your text file in Notepad++ and do the following. Assuming your text file is in the form http://example.com http://example.org http://www.example.co.nz http://example.net Type (or copy & paste) the following at the beginning of the file <html> <head> <title>title of page if you wish</title> </head> <body> and at the end of the file.. </body> </html> In the menu, go Search > Replace... In the "Find What" field, put (http://.*) In the replace field, put <a href="\1">\1</a><br> Click the Regular Expression radio button at the bottom of the dialog box, and click the Replace All button. Save the file as filename.html and you're done. EDIT: Ok, so it isn't quite automatic, but it is far less tedious then manually converting each URL to a link... |
