791609 2009-07-14 09:16:00 Evening All,
I have just downloaded the VLC Player as reviewed in the latest PCW mag.
It said it could be used to bypass the need to change region codes in ones player. I have several DVD's purchased from the Warehouse, that are region 2, and my player throws up a message saying I have only one change left.
After installing the VLC player, the discs show up a badly pixilated picture, which is a disaster. Nowhere can I find a setting to fix this.
What am I doing wrong?
I tried, with advice from Blam6, the DVDRegionkiller, but it was not compatible with my PC. There was a note to the effect that this software would not work with some new machines.
My player is a LG Multi, lightscribe, DVD-ram,and Power DVD7, software.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

791610 2009-07-14 09:26:00 Try this:
http://www.dvd43.com/

Have you got Vista?

791611 2009-07-14 09:36:00 I do have Vista Home Premium, on a separate drive, but prefer XP that is on "C" drive.
My reading of DVD43 is that is is for copying not playing a "region" DVD, or am I again off the track?

791612 2009-07-14 09:54:00 It decrypts DVDs, which means you can play a DVD with any region code.

Try it:)

791613 2009-07-14 10:29:00 Blam6, you are a fountain of information, and worth your weight in gold.
I installed DVD43 and everything worked like a charm. I can now get other imports from the Warehouse, and not be worried they will cause problems.
Again, Thank You.
