| 791537 | 2009-07-13 23:16:00 | Hey, I'm trying to get Excel to do this... |=Sheet1!F5| next cell |=Sheet1!K5| next |=Sheet1!P5| ... |=Sheet1!U5| etc etc.. How do I get excel extend the series correctly? It's getting the series all wrong. I don't want to waste the next four hours of my day doing everything by hand for each cell. Cheers |

| 791538 | 2009-07-14 08:02:00 | Hi Use the following formula in the first cell and then copy across. =OFFSET(Sheet1!$F$5, 0, 5*(COLUMN(A:A)-1)) Beware that offset is a volatile function which will recalculate itself any time you do anything in the spreadsheet. So if this is a very large spreadsheet you may see a performance degradation if you use a lot of these types of formula. Andrew |
