| 791276 | 2009-07-13 09:34:00 | Hi all, It seems to me that I have a faulty graphics card, or am I? what happened: I was just watching a movie in avi format when the screen suddently blacked out (no signal going into the screen, i am certain of that), then the fan of the graphic card makes nasty clicking--beeping noises. All I can do is to press the reset button to bring everything back. it happened once last night, once just then. I use rivatuna, not OC, just to control the fan speed, it seems to me that the fan speed is fixed, not adjusted dynamicly according to the temp of the card. I have the latest mobo and graphic card driver.. so is this a faulty card? if it is I should be able to claim a replacement, I bought it from playtech not long ago, and it has 2 years of warranty. and by the way, anyone know of any good software to control the speed of your graphic card fan? I just want to set it to auto dynamic control. but I can't find one that does that, not even rivatuner. Thanks for your help in advance :D |

| 791277 | 2009-07-13 11:02:00 | So, i take it you haven't overclocked the card....did you install the graphic's card? On another note, if the card is under warranty still, then don't touch it, call who ever you bought it from.. |

I couldn't say . . . . . . . As for the card are you sure it was it's fan making this clicking noise? Fans can fail but generally the bearings go first and that doesn't involve clicking noises . Clicking noises can come from hard drives however . As for beeping, thats generally a motherboard beep . |
