645040 2008-03-01 10:12:00 Family court crap around back then?

The guy that cut me up couldn't be charged unless he killed me due to his age (we were both 15) , we had a family group conference instead. Which resulted in no punishment.

I had a similar thing happen to me 5 or 6 years ago. Me & my friends were walking home one night when a couple of guys from the first 15 started laying into us. I came out of it with a broken cheek bone & all that happened was the family group conference got them a curfew that wasn't enforced.

They went on to cause more serious harm to other people.

645041 2008-03-01 10:18:00 Oh, and just a little more pointless dribbling on...

You say (whoever said it lol) that you would feel good killing a "serial killer that attacked you", yet what does it make you after you kill them? Who's the one that should be dead? The one who threw a punch, or the one that ended someones life?

645042 2008-03-01 10:27:00 Someone gave you a black eye, you gave someone a gravestone.

Hmmm

So, In your view, Your better off accepting whatever anybody wants to do to you, No matter how bad that may turn out to be Rather then risk hurting the person attacking you?

Each to their own and whatnot, I'd rather you stood by what you believe, But there is no way I personally could ever agree with it.

No, answer my question first. Why would I go to jail? The guy out of the blue attacks me. I push him away, knocking him off his feet, and he lands on a jagged rock, cracking his head open.

So if a gravestone is what he gets, then a gravestone is what he gets. It's not my fault he had an accident that he caused himself.

You see, Wolfy, what they do if they were kept alive? In case you missed it, it's been highlighted. They harmed more people.

Now, if they were accidentally killed by Greven and his mate, would the future victims have been harmed?

And as Metla said, you stick by your principles. You just stand there and take all the beating which may or may not kill you. If that's how you deal with unprovoked attackers, than so be it, but don't question my morality.

645045 2008-03-01 10:31:00 The death of certain people would not matter a speck. I would never feel guilty or bad for killing a real criminal, someone who rapes women, who kills innocent people, who assaults people for no reason.

EDIT: , oh, and Sweep, if you did have an 'attack cat', you'll most likely be charged with some sort of killing I guess. After all, you DID train a cat to kill someone.....cats are normally placid and wouldn't give a toss. Dogs are another story. Most dogs will defend their family till the end. You cannot say how you would feel until you have done it, No first time killer knows how they are going to feel after they have killed their first victim...

I have not trained my cat... He will attack anything including dogs that he feels threatened by... and anything he attacks had better run fast else it will be in a lot of pain, he often attacks possums. LOL, stupid cat

Remember, David, that the word victim should only be used if the harmed one is innocent. We're talking about unprovoked attackers here. ;)

Hell, of course I'd feel extremely guilty and bad to no end if I killed someone innocent, like my neighbour or my friends.

But I seriously doubt I'd ever feel guilty or bad if I ever killed a callous and savage criminal.

And what if one night your neighbour who you borrowed sugar off last week, or your best friend who you went out on the town with was drunk, high, depressed, angry or whatever and decided to attack someone/you?

645049 2008-03-01 10:47:00 Yea ok, back on track with you then.

Why does someone, and this is where drugs/alcohol come in, who attacks you suddenly make them a criminal? I've been done over on the street before, but the person who did it is not a bad person, he was just high at the time.

But obviously I see it wayy differently to you.

I think he was charged with manslaughter, but I mean all he did was try and keep things under control, but in no way do I commend (right word?) what he did, but I do feel sorry for him that he has to live with that.

Wait, you have an attack cat? It depends, if you knew the cat was gonna give me a heart attack, then yes, it was intentional. But I somehow doubt that bouncer knew the guy was gonna hit his head and die.

That's like someone attacking you on the street, you fighting back, them falling and (lets go for something extreme) getting impaled by a huge, sharpened iron post. It wasn't intentional, you were just trying to defend yourself, but now you've got a death on your hands.

In the above, what would've been better? Fighting back and killing the guy (unintentionally) or not fighting back? Even if you got badly hurt.

So how badly hurt would I get? And then I spent some time in hospital in some pain. My attack cat would have no person at home to feed her. Unless of course you could visit and make sure the food is available.

Could I get dead for example in the event I did nothing to defend myself?

Go vote for Locke at the next election.

And also try living in the real world. Take the consequences of your actions and people whom do nothing deserve what they get.
