Big race to the first corner, and then it becomes follow my leader from there on in unless there is a prang. When it comes to motorcycling racing, the smaller the capacity, the better the spectator sport. Ok, so in the 125s you don't get the same corner sliding as with MotoGP, but you can get three or four 125s abreast going into a corner, and positions change very rapidly. Go into the corner first and get spat out the back so you can come out fourth or worse if you aren't careful. A true test of rider skill, whereas the bigger capacities tend to be more about the machine and tyres rather than the rider. To me it is the rider skill factor that makes it a compelling sport. |

| 644495 | 2008-02-29 04:48:00 | Ah some fellow sports trashers - I'm at home at last . Find myself nodding with agreement . I reckon most sports are boring on TV but live, some can be exciting . Golf - I'd rather read the phone book . Cricket - maybe the 20/20 concept will bring it up to rugby excitement but honestly . . . . . . . . zzzzzzzzzzz Soccer - why can't they either reduce the teams to 9 or get rid of the off-side rule so they actually score some goals!!! Motor-racing - exciting live, deathly boring on TV, even the motorcycles which is a shame . . . . . Swimming - give me a good dictionary to browse any day . On the positive side: Rugby union generally, some League matches Tennis - a point every few seconds but you have to concentrate Netball/basketball - fast and points every few seconds Athletics - track and field - human endurance |
