In reality it doesn't work that way though. Maybe take some self defence lessons or get a cab next time. | lakewoodlady (103) | ||
2008-02-29 22:01:00 | Weird, I too think you should be able to walk down the street without being the victim of such crap,, You are well within your rights to crack someone who tries it on, No surprise though that the cops response was pathetic.... I was once stopped by three morons who pulled screwdrivers and crap on me because they wanted to have the burger I was eating, I made a bad bad mess of all three of them. 2 weeks later three people nearly killed a guy in a wheelchair in the same area. It happens because people hide at home, and object to the victims fighting back. If the streets aren't safe at night, Its because the people are weak, I hear **** from my house I go out and see whats up, and if it means sorting out some crap, so be it.

2008-02-29 22:19:00 | Reminds me of a scenario I was in once... The big bad nasty drunk guy belted my mate for what reason I have no idea - he walked off on his girlfriend's arm calling me to deal with him. I faced the baddie and thumped him a few, and then a few more, along with a couple of karate kicks. The bugger didn't flinch and came after me with death in his eyes. I ran! | Greg (193) | |
2008-02-29 22:56:00 | In another incident, police also said about 20 people were involved in fighting in central Hamilton overnight. Wonder if that was it... Anyhow....Many years ago I somehow got involved in an all-out brawl outside the MacDonald's in the main St of Hamilton, was on a Friday night, It was pretty ugly, people were hurt. The next night it happened again (I wasn't there for that one) a guy was punched, fell, hit his head on the curb and died. Monday morning I go to work (was working in Hamilton) and do my usual, about 10 in the morning my brother rings up, he is reading the NZ Herald and holy hell, There is an Identikit picture that looks just like me, and a description that matched what I had been wearing right down to the colour of my shirt, leather waistcoat and the style of boots I had., all in relation to the person who stuck the guy that died. Nice way to start the week, falsely accused of murder..... Lmao. needless to say, I **** myself. No idea who got their wires crossed but the guy responsible walked into a police station before the week was up and handed himself in.

2008-03-01 01:27:00 | 3 cheers for the death penalty. Have you been watching the Real crime series of documentries over the last couple of weeks?, all of them so far deserve the death penalty, and none of them were convicted on the basis of one wrong witness. It was lifetime of escalating and brutal crime with dozens of victims, the expense of millions of dollars and a culmination in crimes so horrendous that they finally got half the punishment they deserve. All them them should have been locked away in their teens. Though, Their parents should have got the death sentence as well.

2008-03-01 01:52:00 | Sorry I missed out a couple of words. I meant to say I wasnt 'that' drunk. The walk was only 10 minutes max as I live quite close to town. People wanted to fight me because I didnt have a woman with me? What logic is that? Dean: The reason I didn't call the cops straight away is simple. Who do you ring when a couple of fellas are trying to beat you down?

2008-03-01 01:55:00 | But I thought you just said you and your friends got drunk . . . ? Why didn't you call the Police at this stage? Did you have a cellphone with you? If you beat two of them up in response to them throwing things at you then you have exposed yourself to assault complaints from them as, on the face of it, beating them up is not self defence against getting a stick and a rock thrown at you . It seems that you escalated the problem with your actions . Why are you here bitching about it? Bitching? :waughh: Never mind I'll leave that one . . .

2008-03-01 03:14:00 | I'm more bothered by the fact that you were out drinking in a nightclub with your mates when you have (as I understand from your previous posts) a very pregnant partner at home. She's the one who has my sympathy.
