644727 2008-02-29 09:00:00 Thats what the latest version of Netguide said.

Why bother with the IS version, and pay for it. When the other version is free.

644728 2008-02-29 09:00:00 And a happy leap day to all out there. Haven't decided who I will propose to yet!

AVG, yeah well, I have the free version and it's fine. I just go watch my fav soap whiles it's scanning, lol!

644729 2008-02-29 20:36:00 If AVG becomes bloatware, that only leaves Nod32 and avast in the fast & good antivirus category.

Norton tried to make a better antivirus with 360, but the task was insurmountable for them. It would make my day if they succeeded (and even better if that forced McAfee to produce a decent product) because then I wouldn't have to tell people they just bought a 3 year subscription to a program that will render their computer unusable.

644730 2008-02-29 21:13:00 I use AVG ,had issue with a virus it found it but wouldnt get rid of it.
It kept saying it sent to the vault but next scan it would show up.
I did system restore to fix problem. The virus was from a website (not porn) I got from google search on Greenland of all things.
Shouldnt complain if its free.

644731 2008-02-29 23:11:00 Yeah, I don't mind the free one, its light and does an OK job, like you said, can't complain if it's free! :p

But the pro version... different story.

There are a lot of google searches recently that were used as drive-by browser attacks....

Comodo antivirus is free and I'm complaining since it's still beta

As for free good AV, I'm using AntiVir at the moment and I like it

by the way, does anyone else notice that a lot of CAV looks a lot like the older versions of NAV? the updater, scanning window and settings window to name a few...
