644062 2008-02-27 22:08:00 Depending on your setup, it is easy to record any channel thats is free to air, and watch sky at the same time. And Vice Versa. Need seperate aerial etc. Peter H (220)
644063 2008-02-27 23:31:00 Well he didnt say another SKY channel.

He said another channel, which could mean any channel.

Well if that was the case, he wouldn't have bothered posting, would he? All you need to do is change the channel with your TV remote.

644064 2008-02-27 23:48:00 If you wanna record one sky chan, and watch another sky chan, it's not possible without either MySky or a second decoder, as the sky box simply sends the selected channel to the tv, not like with normal VHF/UHF tv, where all the channels are on one cable. It's a pain in the backside, but that's what happens when Videoguard isn't hacked. ubergeek85 (131)

644066 2008-02-28 02:26:00 I use a Sony HX750 in combination with MySky and two TV Hauppage Cards.

The HX750 can record 1 channel. (A sky channel sky that is currently on, or Channel 1,2,3,Prime, Juice and a couple of others.)
MySky can record 2 Sky channels
My TV Cards can record most of the Freeview channels simultanously with MediaPortal.

Plus I can watch something from MySky planner while this is going on.

Now IF/When we get Canwest in here with their promised 30+ Freeview Channels we might get something worth recording and watching.
