643508	2008-02-26 03:08:00	New calculations by University of Sussex astronomers predict that the Earth will be swallowed up by the Sun in about 7.6 billion years unless the Earth’s orbit can be altered. My understanding is that the earth's orbit has already been changed! The ancient calendars were revised when the earth's orbit shifted enough to change the 360 day year to 365+ possibly about 760BC. I don't have any more information concerning that event. Perhaps someone else has? B.M. It may make sense to activate the thrusters as you suggested.
