That iToilet thing was doing the circuit about 5-6 years ago, someone has modified the web site to make it look recent.

643825 2008-02-29 04:24:00 righto, On New Years eve my home theatre PC died, I replaced the MotherBoard (New Asus) CPU (dual core AMD 4800) and 1 GB PC 800 DDR3 (I think)

It cost me $200 delivered, zero to install.

Now, whats the deal if it happened to your iMac?

obviously you still get your parts at trade price or your full of it

It was a special being run by a trade supplier, and, They ran out after accepting my order so upgraded the cpu from the 4200 to the one I received..

643831 2008-03-03 17:50:00 Meh, I was having fun with it, The mac heads all performed along with the rest of us, and the thread starter looks keen to keep the ball in play...whats the problem?

Anyway, You get what you pay for is just another uninformed comment, They use the same hardware except it costs twice as much, has limited upgrade path and an inferior warranty.

Wow, If that's the good deal, I'd hate to see the bad deal.

Alrighty, who wants to take bets on when Jen closes the thread?, I reckon this time tomorrow night.

Seems to be the pattern.

ok so you cant upgrade that easily thats something i new when i got my first mac but that did not worry me, the warranty same as most pc places like dell.
but @ least the software works, have you ever tried using vista, my mother got a new laptop last year, it came loaded with vista, after a hefty 2 hour install i turned it on for the first time, this seamed strange nothing would load, i checked the ram usage, vista was using 99% off my 1gig ram, i only had 7meg free! wtf. :badpc:

i know i have said this b4 but the guys that are bitching on about how much you dislike macs and the crapy warranty and the fact you cant upgrade, you i know you have never used mac os 10.5 because you would sound a lot different if you did :P
