It seems very similar to an Eee...

The MS Office box contains lots and lots of 3.5" and (heaven forbid) a few 5.25" floppies (remember floppies anyone??)

www.imagef1.net.nz

Windows 95
165MB Hard disk
486 75MHz processor
Circa 1994

(came with W3.1 but upgraded due to W95 being supplied in that box on -- you guessed it -- 3.5" floppies!)

Picked the whole lot up for $10 at a garage sale!!

EDIT: Just finished setting up W3.1 to access the net FTW!

Yeah, eventually after it un-crashed itself (if you look carefully you can see that the button to scroll down is 'stuck' down)

Damn slow though even on BB. I can't install a flash player on there tho and then watch youtube on it :(

It's running on IE5 - don't know if this is classed as an old version or not tho...

BTW Are there any 16-bit non-MS web browsers out there (Firefox?)

644944 2008-03-01 01:57:00 You could run Linux on it... :xmouth: dolby digital (5073)
644945 2008-03-01 03:02:00 I want one.

That would've been a dream machine when it first appeared - yearned after by people like me who couldn't afford its high price.
I wonder what such a pricey trendsetter equivalent would be today?

No CD-ROM drive :horrified - only 3.5" floppy. Anyone have a PCMCIA network card or know where I can get one?

EDIT: Laura - there's a lot of 6 going on TM in ~4 hrs (untested and no HDs, though...)
