I am having real problems trying to get this driver. Wherever I search I just get referred to driver detective or some other site or software that detects drivers. |

You mean the SATA drivers? Or the install for the chipset? It'll be one these. The mobo maker's site will have them (you'll have to find out what the brand/model of the mobo is) |

It's a Dell OPtiplex GX270 and the driver I need is a AC'97 controller |

Thats the sound drivers.
Theyre here by the looks of it (support.dell.com). Under audio, it maybe the analog devices driver. Its better to get them from the manufacturer's site, not from any site |
