791589 2009-07-14 06:03:00 I have a 1G flash drive which I want to use on an old PC (W98). I'm not sure what brand drive the flash drive is.

QUESTION: Does anyone know of any GENERIC driver that might work?

In desperation I thought I might try a driver from
www.emtec-international.com/en/driver.php?categorie=DEFAU
but the downloads don't work. (I'm using Firefox with scripts enabled)

Thanks in advance.

791590 2009-07-14 06:07:00 Is it win 98 or 98 SE?? 98 may not work (if the ports are USB 2) Speedy Gonzales (78)
791591 2009-07-14 06:44:00 If you have Second Edition, you could install this 'unofficial' addon. (exuberant.ms11.net)

I remember using this years ago when I was still on 98. It added better support for USB as well as a lot of other beneficial stuff.

Remember to backup first :)

791592 2009-07-14 06:45:00 You could always try this: Windows 98 USB Mass Storage Device Drivers (www.technical-assistance.co.uk) Jen (38)
