791537 2009-07-13 23:16:00 Hey,

I'm trying to get Excel to do this...

|=Sheet1!F5| next cell |=Sheet1!K5| next |=Sheet1!P5| ... |=Sheet1!U5| etc etc..

How do I get excel extend the series correctly?
It's getting the series all wrong.

I don't want to waste the next four hours of my day doing everything by hand for each cell.

Cheers

Use the following formula in the first cell and then copy across.

=OFFSET(Sheet1!$F$5, 0, 5*(COLUMN(A:A)-1))

Beware that offset is a volatile function which will recalculate itself any time you do anything in the spreadsheet. So if this is a very large spreadsheet you may see a performance degradation if you use a lot of these types of formula.
