791466 2009-07-13 22:21:00 I have an AGP card I would like to throw into a SFF computer (mainly so the graphics isn't running off the system RAM. The card itself is low profile, just the bracket prevents one from closing the case.
Can you get brackets that are half height for just this sort of purpose?

Or would I be better in just playing round with a few tools and the existing bracket? :D

791468 2009-07-13 23:15:00 I've found they're rather generic, the SFF brackets. I rang PBTech last time I wanted one and it cost me around $5, they shipped it out same-day. Chilling_Silence (9)
791469 2009-07-13 23:26:00 I didn't bother with a bracket for the server's SATA card. :D

It doesn't need a bracket to work.

791472 2009-07-14 10:37:00 Thanks all :)

Incidentally, while on the subject, can you also get half height/low profile brackets for PCI cards? Or do you have to buy a specific low profile PCI card?

I didn't notice any at the links/places provided

791473 2009-07-14 21:40:00 Depends on the card, but generally yes you'll need to purchase a low-profile PCI Card. Chilling_Silence (9)
