| 646995 | 2008-03-07 00:14:00 | went into NL yesterday to get their "real deal" campaign promise, only to find that they would not match the price for the same product. I provided two competing stores avertised pricing and their lame excuse was "it only applies to product sourced locally", when asked to speak to the manager to discuss i got flipped off again...Com'on LM, whats your game..."real deal"....Yeah Right!!!!! anyone else have similar experiances with the NL real deal promise???? Seems like theyy've gone through a whole lot of expense on this campaign only to welch on its mission statements. km |

They said they don't match the price of 'wholesalers' and they must be 'retailers', and that they also can't be an online retailer. I told them that ascent are a retailer, and I can go straight into their shop in Wellington, but they still wouldn't match it. |

Yeah thats not good on their part, as ascent have a retail store, just like noel leemings, and they have a website, just like noel leemings. Just because they only have one shop.... :groan: |

| 646998 | 2008-03-07 00:45:00 | in my case the excuse was"not a locally sourced product". So far we have - Must be locally sourced - cannot be an online retailer - cannot be wholesalers what else????? what part of "If you happen to find the same product cheaper elsewhere, we'll match the price and give you Fly Buys" of their "Real Deal" campaign excludes the above???? |

My case was last year before the 'Real Deal' Campaign, and I think they have changed the wording on the term. I think it used to say 'local retailer' in the terms. |

| 647001 | 2008-03-07 01:35:00 | They don't even honor their OWN stores, went to one in Lower Hutt not so long ago, saw what I wanted, but THEIR other store in Westfield Mall (just across the road) had the same thing but cheaper - yet they still wouldn't match prices - how dumb is that. Ended up going down the road to Harvey Normans and getting the EXACT same thing cheaper still. |

| 647003 | 2008-03-07 02:00:00 | I bought a DVD Recorder a while back, advertised in their pamphlet at $499. They had $499.99 on it in store. I asked for the 99c off and they refused. So I went down to Bond and Bond and bought it for $499. And they are the same company. |

| 647004 | 2008-03-07 02:08:00 | Why would you make a company 'match' a competitors price. SUPPORT THE COMPETITOR! If they have gone out of their way to attract your business then why not give them a try. | sam m (517) | ||
