 Neither do I. A week of full-time uni has drained me out. And I still have work for 8.5 hours tomorrow. :(

646972 2008-03-07 20:51:00 Great.

If I was the cops I would have said, gee we don't have time to call the fire brigade as we are busy chasing other low life's and let the bugger suffer more.

And as you guys say - what will happen to the cop that put the spikes out ?

Kieth Locke will probably want him charged.

I am just pleased that the guy did not kill or maim anyone else while he was running away.

646973 2008-03-07 21:13:00 While not related to this specific incident, sometime ago I was involved in a serious accident where the other car was doing about 140 in a 50k area, resulting in stat 1 injuries to them.

The police officer in charge of the scene called next day to follow up some details etc and while doing so, mentioned that both persons in that car were very well known to police for a long list of traffic and criminal convictions, and commented that they would have been no loss if they had killed themselves, would make there investigation so much easier.

Two years later and the driver is finally in court, wasted a day giving evidence, driver found guilty and walked away with nothing more than further loss of license for another 12 months but backdated so in effect nothing.

Walked away scot free.

Interesting, there is usually a small charge for that.

646975 2008-03-08 19:14:00 Has anyone else noticed the "No One" is ever killed as the result of a police chase.

The inevitable crash always occurs a few seconds after the police give up the chase "for safety reasons"

What annoys me is the investigation after the crash. Road closed, sometimes for hours, small fortune spent, lengthy reports written. When it is obvious, even to a blind man, what caused the accident. Accident? more like suicide.

And Laura, your comment is exactly the reason why so many "low lifes" get away with so much.

If the lawyers for the other side enquire about the eivdence, and they did not do a proper investigation, the case gets thrown out the window.
It happened before.

So right.

We are showing them too much kindness, WHICH they have never shown us.
