647015 2008-03-08 03:37:00 Why would you make a company 'match' a competitors price. SUPPORT THE COMPETITOR! If they have gone out of their way to attract your business then why not give them a try.

While I do think that that Erin Brockovich is reasonably hot, sam m makes rather a good point, really.

647016 2008-03-08 05:12:00 There are always companies offering cheap prices that won't be there supporting you at the crunch. If you can get an established company to price match, why not? PaulD (232)
647017 2008-03-08 09:52:00 All hinges around whether the mistake was genuine.....and probably impossible to prove one way or the other.

Back then, and we are talking probably at least 4 years now, Consumers were of the opinion that the price in the flyer should have been the selling price.

Water under the bridge now though, we don't buy from NL's

Legally they don't have to, and this is fair enough, as human error does occur. However it is often better for them to honour the price, as an unhappy customer can be bad for business, and can influence other buyers. However if the company is constantly making errors with pricing, I think they should be looked at. Some companies do make constant errors, and you sometimes wonder if some of the errors could be intentional to get people in the door, or they are employing kids to do their advertsing.

But to get back on topic - I'm sorry, but if you believe the advertising (anyone's, not just NL), then you deserve what you get. "Individual mileage may vary".
