646962 2008-03-07 07:54:00 I find those sentiments appalling.

Irrespective of the details of who did what - which we don't know as yet - it's the kind of comment sometimes made about serial kilers & rapists.
It's also the kind of thinking behind torture.

It saddens me to read such totally inappropriate comments on this forum.
Ever heard of "overkill"?I'm with Laura on this one. Admittedly it was his own fault he died, but I find sadistic comments like that rather disturbing - the impression it gives me of the member posting it is not a good one.

And I agree with that - ohh lets go kill every single person that's done something wrong. I'm sure almost everyone here has been in trouble with the police before, some even to court. But you don't see me wishing you get killed in a car accident.

646964 2008-03-07 08:18:00 Everyone holds their own views. I'm just telling you my feeling about such criminals, and you tell me yours. I don't agree with your views - Laura, Bletch and Wolfy - but there is no way I am changing my mind.

Just don't question my morality when I wish suffering upon senseless criminals. Question theirs.

This set of mind comes about from despondency towards our 'rehab' system. It simply doesn't work, and we're just guzzling out millions of dollars for repeat offenders' court case, food, medical care, entertainment, etc.....

It's ironic. They hurt society in various ways, yet society is forced to pay for their 2-star stay in a local prison.

They'll just go on a cycle - offend, prison, offend, prison, offend....so, if they just don't learn from their mistakes, they're not worth being kept alive. I, put simply, fail to see the need to keep callous criminals alive.

Is that the crim's fault? Would you rather the criminal die in that car crash, or the people that are taking your money for his punishment?

NO one killed the idiot, he drove into a tree while evading the police at hi speed. Fortunately he also died as a result of the crash so the tax payer won;t have to pay for court costs or 3 squares a day in side plus "rehabilitation" costs. This country is way too soft when it comes to dealing with crims. It should give more rights to the victims while the crims rot in some hole in the ground or some far away island (Auckland Islands down near Antarctica)

Duh. The criminal of course. The people taking our money for their punishment are decent people, albeit blind and stupid for giving criminals royalties they don't deserve.

Other people > criminals. That's the way it should always be.

The world is grossly overpopulated, and human population is increasing at an alarming rate. The more criminals we lose, the better.

Yes, but it's not worth wishing someone dead (even if they did something wrong) all because you don't want to have to (just like the other 6million people who have to) pay some tax.

I select whom I wish my deathwish upon. It's a personal thing, and you shouldn't judge me by my accordance, as I am flawed and therefore may not satisfy your expectation of a human being.

I didn't wish for this particular criminal's death, but now that he is, I'm pretty much glad about it. Now he's not going to risk anymore lives, and we don't have to spend our tax on keeping him alive.
