| 646883 | 2008-03-06 10:29:00 | @PaulD yes, I'm aware of the not-so-perfect speed increase hence the ideally twice the speed..obviously not achievable this is just a random thought after all :D @The_End_Of_Reality this is a fact that I didn't think about before! something I could've done when I last re-installed my system I've just tested it out in a virtual machine and yes it is possible I added in two virtual hdd set them as dynamic and created a simple partition on them while leaving some free space unallocated with the unallocated space I could create a partition that spans across the two hdd, using the unallocated space left on both hdd obviously the smallest unallocated size will be used to span, if one hdd had a larger unallocated space left, it'll end up with some leftover that's not spanned I guess next time I re-install XP, I can add this in to give me a special space that can read/write faster when I need it just not as easily done as the drive mounting idea I first had in mind though... ..something OT... is this new? --> :spam I haven't posted in advance mode for so long.. and never seen anyone using it.. don't think I've seen :happybday being used either~ |
