646807 2008-03-06 06:06:00 Will IE8 beta installation override any previous IE? Good question - Just looked in the Program and features in Vista, there is no sign of it like you would normally remove a program BUT it does show in the Windows Updates (www.imagef1.net.nz) So I guess you could remove it from there. wainuitech (129)

646810 2008-03-06 13:37:00 No problems installing it here. Looks good so far. beeswax34 (63)
646811 2008-03-06 19:13:00 IE8 won't open, AVG8 had problems, maybe you're due for a reinstall.

Nah, it was probably more the fact I was trying to copy data off a dodgy HDD at the time. :banana

Works a bit better this morning, on the surface it hasn't changed much. Is it just me, or are other people finding it a bit faster than IE7? Seems more pleasant to use. It looks basically the same but it isn't as clunky.

646812 2008-03-06 19:15:00 I like this (www.imagef1.net.nz) about it... :punk wratterus (105)
646813 2008-03-06 22:13:00 Just been using it on a test PC this morning (500MHz, 256MB of RAM) and seems to be dog slow. IE7 was fine on here yesterday. But... I installed FF on it - much faster! jwil1 (65)
646814 2008-03-11 08:13:00 IE8 does not like Windows Update!

646815 2008-03-11 08:14:00 Yup you have to switch it to IE 7 mode to use the Windowsupdate site

Then it'll work
