Or get fitted for a shirt properly at a decent menswear store (ie: they will measure your neck size...) |

Workplaces allow women to get away with wearing almost anything, I agree ties are a stupid invention. But I disagree that women can wear anything. I could rant on about the completely ridiculous things men invented for them to wear: High heels for instance. Pointy toe shoes. Dresses. |

| 646715 | 2008-03-06 01:03:00 | I have to say, I wore a tie to work every day of the week at my previous job, and it wasn't an issue at all. If anything, I'd feel like something was 'missing' if I didn't have a tie around my neck... | somebody (208) | ||

| 646717 | 2008-03-06 01:37:00 | About 25 years ago when teaching at a local high school I read a German report on a mystery that had affected a large numbr of German businessmen. They had too many dying from strokes. They came up with the reasoning that the tie was to blame. They were cutting down the supply of blood to the brain. Germans did tend to wear their ties tighter than I was used to but as soon as I had finished reading the report I took my tie off and have never used one since. I discussed this with a friend who was regularly "properly dressed" for his managers job. He reckoned it was garbage. But died some years later from a stroke. You have been warned. Tom |

Tom I think you might be on to something there I had a few suit wearing bosses have strokes and hearties and shake their mortal coils. The drinking smoking overweight workers are still ok. |

Tom That sounds like one of those crazy chain letters you get on youtube on the comments: www.youtube.com I'm so glad I'm only thirteen and have no need for worrying about ties, and by the time i have to wear one we will all be wearing space suits! I hope! *dramatic music plays* |

Coupled with eugenics, to kill all ugly people, and an ultra aggressive carbon emmissions scheme to make the whole world hawaii. I think I can get enough people on board to make this a reality. If bush can stay two terms then surely I have a chance? | Thebananamonkey (7741) | ||
