Obama and Clinton are fighting to be the Democratic party nominee, and McCain is certainly going to be the Republican nominee. Insignificant others that can't win aren't an option because they aren't really relevant. And yes, I understand that there will never be a situation where Americans are directly choosing between the three, but it's still obvious how this poll works :p Because it is unlikely americans will vote for a black president, I kind of hope that Clinton gets in, otherwise McCain has a good chance of winning. It would also follow the pattern Bush - Clinton - Bush Clinton. However as a NZer, I would hope McCain gets in, as he is for a NZ US free trade deal. This would never happen under Clinton/Obama due to their policies. |

He is outspoken and brash and I do like his ideas. BTW, whoever takes Ohio becomes President? No way, Ohio and Texas together do not have enough electoral votes to even declare a front runner, forget even declaring a outright nominee. I think Walter Mondale won that state and see where it took him. |

Americans are more traditional than radical so it has to be McCain I think they are ready for a woman president, as many other countries have now had woman leaders. However I don't think they are ready for a black president, especially with such a unconventional name. Having MacCain as president probably wouldn't be bad, although he would be a dead duck president with the democrats in power. Also because he is old, he may only have one term |
