648527 2008-03-11 07:02:00 For those who are interested you can get it here:

www.majorgeeks.com

Be aware this will interfere with your current installation of Firefox but not overwrite it, with a bit of hassle you can run them both at the same time.

If you delete in Add/Remove after trying it your Firefox will be back the way it was.

648528 2008-03-11 07:25:00 Or just grab the portable edition (portableapps.com) and keep them separate. Firefox 4.0 Alpha (ftp.mozilla.org) is also knocking around for those interested. sal (67)
648529 2008-03-11 09:24:00 I thought I had better have a look at FF3. B4, to my surprise I am using it already. R2x1 (4628)
648530 2008-03-11 10:51:00 For all those who have a Beta version running already, just go to Help and "Check for Updates"

You can tweak the about:config settings so you get the latest nightly build as your update rather than the different versions of Beta.

It's not an alpha, its just a nightly build. They're usually not as stable as the proper releases, so avoid unless you're quite happy for the odd quirk/crash.

I tried it on a PC here at work. The only problem I saw was that the Java plugin would not install compared to Firefix 3 beta4..
