| 647331 | 2008-03-08 05:41:00 | I just watched a repeat of TV3s Target program from last week. This person from Nelson ordered Sky over the phone useing his credit card. When he asked the customer service person how much it was to join he told him it was free to join at the moment as they had a special on. Anyway to cut a long story short this person got a $600 bill from Sky for 6 months use and also on his next credit card statement he had purchases of about $1500 from places in Auckland which the person in Nelson had never been to. It turned out the customer service person at Sky had fowarded the Nelson persons credit card details onto someone else. The Nelson person got the Police involved and the person from Sky got 6 years jail for fraud. They are still looking for the other person. :) |

They bill you for the monthly charge or send you a direct debit form. And instead of spending all that time hassling Sky he should have just gone straight to his card company and filled out the theft form. |

I joined sky 6 weeks ago and paid the installer by cheque made out to Sky. :) |

He spent so much time playing Mr. Detective. He should have gone straight to the Credit Card company, told them to reverse all the charges, shut the old card down and issue a new one. And remember he was a black/platinum card holder too so the credit card company would have done this all quick smart. |
