| 792710 | 2009-07-18 07:51:00 | Hi there guys Just installed a 3650 card for a friend, upon booting I realised the fan didnt spin, however the screen boots and loads and all. I've left it for some time now, roughly about 20mins, still no fan...is this normal for the 3650? Im afraid to do anything intense/test anything with it atm... Suggestions? |

| 792715 | 2009-07-18 11:35:00 | Fan not spinning = failed fan or fan controller. More likely fan failed. OR if the BIOS for the card was sufficiently broken it might not turn the fan on (or if someone modded it badly) But usually software/BIOS control only kicks in when the card driver loads in the OS, so while the PC is running POST etc the fan is usually at full speed Leaving it on for TWENTY MINUTES without proper cooling is NOT good, even without playing games. If it's brand new, take it back straight away and get a new one. Hopefully you still can |
