| 647657 | 2008-03-09 19:21:00 | I thought he was some Ironman/triathelete type sportsman, I've seen the ad many times and it tickles a memory but stuffed if I can remember, probably completely wrong too The JK one is here, www.depression.org.nz this isn't the one the original posters talking about, the newer one has Susan Devoy in it as well talking about the guy Ok is this the guy www.likeminds.org.nz it seems shorter than it was on the box if it is edit again Aubrey Quinn - this is the Susan Devoy one, not a sportsman like I thought www.likeminds.org.nz |

| 647659 | 2008-03-09 21:44:00 | I don't think the point is him having a claim to fame, it's just like the domestic abuse ads. He suffered depression, and he found a productive way out. End of story. The point isn't to show how AB's get help, but that normal people can too. It's hard to see when you're in it though. P.S. OMG Roscoe... talk about hijacking the thread to push some random agenda about how superior you are. You could have just left it. Honestly |

I just can't see the point of watching the ads, let alone discussing their merits - or lack of.:groan: Personally, I'm more interested in watching and discussing the programmes. Much more interesting than the ads. |

| 647664 | 2008-03-10 04:59:00 | I must be an idiot/ simpleton I suppose. I quite like some NZ ads they have been funny like the Toyota bugger ad. The look in the dogs face as it lies in the mud cracked me up The current Air NZ one with the chick flying back to Grandad almost tears me everytime I see it. My all time fav was the dear John BASF cassette tape ad. |

Much more interesting than the ads. You were the one who bought up their lack of merits... If you're more interested in programmes then create a seperate thread for that, not raving at someone who asked a perfectly legitimate question. |
