| 647092 | 2008-03-08 06:47:00 | I will wait for a Blue Ray Harddrive Recorder. I dont want to go through with what they did with dvd's by stringing the consumer along by introducing one type of model at a time.:(:groan: 1. Dvd Player then, 2. Dvd Disk Recorder then, 3. Dvd HD Recorder finaly and then going to a new format Blue Ray to do it all over again. |

| 647094 | 2008-03-08 07:03:00 | I believe at the time you were advocating people buy the Xbox 360 and an addon blu-ray player (when available?) rather then a PS3. The reason I believe it was silly fanboy nonsense is because it made absolutely no sense at all. And no, I never made the comment that the PS3 was the best Blu-ray player, I reported that some people considered them to be the best option based on the reasons already explained, The purpose of reporting this view was to illustrate to a third party that not only was the PS3 capable of blu-ray playback, but that these capabilities were held in very high regard. And fwiw, I'm not arguing with you in any sense. Hmm...I beleive the post went exactly like this: Rumors floating around that Microsoft are going to bring out a BluRay player for the Xbox 360, just like they did with the HD-DVD player. Wouldn't be a bad move either, tho I'm not paying for one. What part of that is telling people to buy an Xbox 360 + the rumored (tho now a little more than a rumor) Blu-Ray addon? |

A Luddite sir is one that would break LCD and Plasmas, just owning old technology doesn't make you one! In fact I can't wait for my 29"CRT to shuffle off its coil. Meantime they are getting better(LCD) and I will take advantage of the delay and end up with a better one than you,SO there. |

For the computer, guess its useful for backup but I'll get mine when its under $100 (BR reader/writer). But given that filesizes are skyrocketing, not sure how big the BR disc are but even if they are 16GB so what .. for a system backup that may not be enof with one disc. I think its good for continual advacements. But portable HDD may be more useful in that sense and for transporting small files just use CD or email them .. or USB thumb drives. $200US oh .. :p well it won't be $300 here, more like min $400 after some middle man distributor gouging .. |
