648737 2008-03-12 00:44:00 Hello members
I wonder if anyone of you is using the above phone card and what are your experiences with it?
My lines are often bad to very bad and so I would like to consider something else?
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

648738 2008-03-12 00:47:00 Used them before, cheap and easy to use. Don't see why line quality would be any more of a worry to you than if you were with a normal telco. wratterus (105)

I have been using this card for a number of years and suspect that this line (and others) is digital and seem to me of poor quality. Not sure if it has anything to do from my side of the line.
I left a fixing message at their support system so it may improve.

648741 2008-03-12 04:40:00 Go with EasyCall. They're pretty reliable - rate's pretty reasonable too! kiwipork (8973)

648743 2008-03-12 09:51:00 So whats the benefit of these cards? Don't you have to pay the local rate here or overseas on top of this cards call cost as well of whatever the hotel for instance charges? Does using these cards still work out a lot cheaper or something.
On there website it says
• Pay phones - no additional surcharges apply

as well as

• Do not insert into public payphones.

648745 2008-03-12 11:00:00 Is it advertised on TV?
Why is it advertised so much?

Is there another way that let's me call somebody without aggressively sponsoring the pollution of the TV / radio scene?
Should I care if I support adding to the misery of TV / Radio audiences?

Pay phones and cellphones have additional charges.

Why use? CHEAP.
3 cents / min to USA and UK, 1 cent to China, 7 cents to Oz, 5 cents in NZ.

Used to use KiaOra. No problems, clear line. Now found something else, cannot recall name but it is belongs to Chi Tel. A month ago sometimes the connection was not clear and with echo, but now is OK.
