| 1441886 | 2017-11-13 08:10:00 | well I'm encouraging him to hurry up now as we just swapped my 16GB DDR3 with his 4GB. :-( I'm in shock, haven't had 4gB in about 10 years..... :-( But his game was whinging...... He has can't remember motherboard, i5 750, 4Gb (I want my 16GB back), and the HD7970. The card is still quite decent, it's still coping well with all his new games he's got and they're pretty high end. But he will need to upgrade. He gets his bonus at Xmas, which would pay for the new parts, inc a i7 and a GTX1080...keeping the case, PSU, D and E drives, (C: is so old I'm amazed it isn't dead), and the optical drive. |

And they get performance presents, last year he got a $400 pak N Save card on top of $2500 bonus. Bonus varies, on how much they made in the 1/2 year. Always decent though. Anyway, couldn't stand the 4GB, bought another 8Gb this morning off Trademe, horrified how much DDR3 is now.... Oh well, longest I've ever kept a motherboard........... |
