1441801 2017-11-10 22:52:00 I taught my daughter Spike Milligan poems when she was a child. Now I'm teaching my grandson poems from the book "Silly Verse for Kids."

Today I saw a little worm,
Wriggling on his belly.
Perhaps he'd like to come inside,
And see what's on the telly.

Where the rain gets in
But they're ever so small
That's why the rain is thin.

Things that go bump in the night
Should not really give one a fright.
It's the hole in each ear
That lets in the fear,
That, and the absence of light.

1441805 2017-11-11 04:21:00 I'm off to buy my Sydney granddaughter a book of Spike's poems for Christmas. I do have a audio copy of 'Bad Jelly' - our kids loved it - a regular Sunday morning treat. R.M. (561)
1441806 2017-11-11 05:13:00 I have virtually every book he wrote and just about every episode of the Goons too. The Goons are unfortunately MP3 and not a real format. gary67 (56)
1441807 2017-11-11 08:37:00 His poems were not as good as his cure for seasickness. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1441808 2017-11-11 08:39:00 But his letters to the british telephone officials were good when they were not fantastic. R2x1 (4628)
