1441216 2017-10-27 21:26:00 I like listening to the radio and have it on all day every day.

I was brought up with the radio playing and it is an indispensable part of my day.:)

SWMBO was brought up with TV so she does not care if the radio is playing or not although she is happy to have it on.

I'm interested to know who was brought up with the radio - the older generation - and who was brought up with the TV - the younger generation.

1441217 2017-10-27 21:38:00 Have the radio on in the car all the time. Often have online radio playing in the background when working in the workshop as well. :) wainuitech (129)
1441218 2017-10-27 21:47:00 I am a radio man. Prefer the radio for news and local information. TV waffles on to much about "Exclusive" (heard it on the radio a couple of hours ago) and dramatizing items......how many times do we hear about global warming/climate change to a background clip of cooling towers letting off steam.

A reader also. I get annoyed about web news that is just video and always auto-runs, even though I click on "Never auto-run" (NZ Herald) and "Roll-overs" that you can't turn off (Stuff)

1441220 2017-10-28 02:42:00 Radio at home and in the car, National programme or whatever it is called these days, NO ADS! And no chattering DJs who think they are funny. Richard (739)

1441222 2017-10-28 03:24:00 I love listening to talk back radio while driving in the car but at home I have the TV going in the background. Bobh (5192)
1441223 2017-10-28 03:47:00 talk back or Radio NZ. I often had Garage TV on my surround sound as I loved the music but that's gone now like Alt TV bellbird (6169)
1441224 2017-10-28 06:55:00 Radio.... Big brown cabinet thing that took ages for the valves to warm up, about 1954. I also bought myself a Crystal Set, headphones & a glass Jar Accumulator battery, which I had to take to a local Radio shop to get recharged. Cost me One Penny for that. First TV I saw about then was a 12 innch B&W at a friends place. My father wouldn't buy one because there was no sound. Silly old bugger was looking at one in a shop window. PJ Poppa John (284)
1441225 2017-10-28 07:38:00 +1 for radio, mostly listen to "Classic Blues Radio" on the internet these days and in fact is on while I type this. tutaenui (1724)
