1440941 2017-10-20 03:28:00 Just received a note from Vodafone saying they are upgrading me to VDSL free of charge.
I guess that's so they can try to sell me a TV online package.

1440942 2017-10-20 03:32:00 You will need Fibre or Cable for that as far as I know.

Chorus are making a lot of cool changes to VDSL and it makes sense to have as many people as possible on it. They should supply one of their new Ultra Home Hubs for you too.

1440946 2017-10-20 19:20:00 Maybe one day just had 240m of trenching done to put power and phone into our new property, now to have manipower and the the electric retailer come and do their stuff hopefully next week. Will stick with Spark wifi 4G for now as it is faster than anything else we can get here. gary67 (56)
1440947 2017-10-20 20:01:00 Depending on what modem/router you have, if its a Vodafone. Once it changes over, if you have any problems Eg Slowness emails taking ages to send, reset the router back to factory default. Was on one job and the upgrade had happened but for some reason the router had gotten stuck in the ADSL settings and didn't pick up the new VDSL. wainuitech (129)

Lucky b*gger, been with the previous coys' that Vodafone have taken over and Vodafone have also been canvassing our area, but have not called into us yet.

Have had TelstraClear cable for years toooo!.

Perhaps we should try Enable.net.nz, our local City Council fibre company, their pamphlet has just come in with the CCC rates demand.

Same here.

But I am in a retirement village hemmed in by private households all around me, about 200meters from the fibre outlet, has to pass through someone's garden not part of the community and then five units to get to me, since it is a private lane, part of a body corporate it's probably going to cost a fortune.

So it's ADSL for me for the foreseeable future.
