| 1441063 | 2017-10-28 05:40:00 | Ok so I got a cable, $8 at the red shed. connected to pc and can print, but because it is a communal printer and we use wifi for laptops and other pcs to print to I have put new fritzbox password in.......... all good till it asks what is the password on the printer......... :o I dont recal setting one, I never have in the past, I tried Canon to no avail..... I am off to google and see what inspiration comes up :( |

| 1441065 | 2017-10-28 06:46:00 | After retrying 6 times going through the hole install process changing the passwords, finding the serial number and re trying and retrying and was ready to throw it out of the window...............it finally said, connected, disconnect cable and wallah......... god i hate machines and pc's fickleness..... next time it will get a bash ......... :o |

I knew what was wrong, - (edit passwrods / router ) just could not get the printer to see anything , cos the pc couldnt see the printer to change settings... it just wouldnt accept me trying to change password, wifi settings... or give me options for a printer it couldnt see......or anything for me to see the printer or the printer to see the wifi, so the cable was the only option even tho I only needed for a very short time...... :( Took me a while to realise tho that the printer wasnt able to be seen....- old settings. Thank you all for your help. |
