According to the Canon site if the printer doesnt show an ip address it's not connected to a network Did you install the IJ network tool from the Canon site ? |

| 1441056 | 2017-10-25 07:03:00 | I may just do that PJ, but will be in hawera working thurs and friday so if i havent thrown the beep thing in the trash by then I will come a calling :) so this modem doesnt see the puter, the pc doesnt see the puter..... so unless cable is used I cannot change the password...... its in a no mans land spot, and yes I tried what I believe is this IJ network thing- tried many different things multiple times.and names became a blur... lol ... but will research it and give it another crack. |

| 1441057 | 2017-10-25 09:17:00 | The printer gets set up with WPS. Follow carefully from here:- ugp01.c-ij.com Of course, the Fritz will have to have WPS enabled, but it probably has. If WPS is disabled, it will have to be enabled. There is another setup for this if needed! Good luck. |

According to the Canon site if the printer doesnt show an ip address it's not connected to a network Did you install the IJ network tool from the Canon site ? since the printer isnt connected to the new routers wifi , it wont be getting a valid usable IP And the software wont work unless the printer is connected via wifi or USB (catch 22) Easiest option would be just to buy a USB cable & use that , USB cables are quite cheap |

| 1441062 | 2017-10-26 05:20:00 | LOL thanks guys, yes the usb cable is on the list of things to do............ but leaving home at 7:30 to drive to work in hawera and not getting hom till after 6 pm makes a very long day for a beetle......so nothing will happen till saturday on the cable front...... and its next on the list for car parts....... sigh, we have to go to palmy for that one.... been a tough week on things that break or dont work :( Thanks all :) |
