1441367 2017-10-31 04:04:00 What makes anyone actually believe that the US Presidential Elections, and the run-up primaries were a clean fair operation.

Killary Clinton was up there with the best of them when it came to the Dirty tricks department, she certainly didn't play fair in the primaries, actively smearing and undermining her opponents. Anyone who believes Clinton is a fair, honest and ethical opponent is looking at the world through Rose tinted spectacles.

Why was Trump elected, why should a very clever man who is a bit of a big mouthed buffoon, be preferred by a majority of American Republicans in the Primaries and by a majority of voters in the Presidential election.
There are a number of reasons:
Firstly middle and working class America have had an absolute gutsful of the Washington establishment.,
Secondly, the traditional voters in the rustbelt states, who normally vote Democrat, were being taken for granted by the Democrats, they were suffering with job losses, unemployment and in permanent recession, and after 8 years of Obama things had just continues to get steadily worse. Well these forgotten Americans bit back.

Did the Russians try to interfere with the electoral process, perhaps they dug up some dirt on Killary, because there is plenty of dirt to dig up, Whitewater, Mena all obligingly overlooked by the American MSM. Who knows? and, Did it influence the outcome of the Election? If it did happen - prove it.

If it did happen, well it is poetic justice, the Americans have pretty grubby hands when it comes to interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
The US State Department funded the Ukrainian protest movement against the democratically elected pro Russian Ukrainian Government to the modest tune of $US 5 Billion, it is in the public record, look it up for yourself if you don't believe it

The USA, courtesy of Killary Clinton as Secretary of State, engineered regime change in Libya, now hasn't that worked out well for everybody, boat people flooding into italy via Libya.

The Americans have a long history of interfering in other countries internal affairs, so has Britain and France for that matter, and now perhaps it is a case of reaping what they have sown.

I am not anti- American, far from it I was a career Officer in the Armed Forces for over 20 years and have served alongside American Military people, both in SE Asia and NATO, but trust American Politicians, Trust the American State Department or the CIA, that is a step too far, just based on past track record.
Incidently if you wonder why problems broke out in Syria, then research the proposed pipeline from Saudi to Europe that was planned to kill Russian Oil and Gas sales to western Europe. The Syrian Government refused to have it cross their territory, therefore a need for regime change.

I am not pro Russian, but they do have a point. There were promises made by the Americans and West Germany when Gorbachev agreed to the reunification of Germany, these arrangements were not honoured by the Americans, so why would Putin trust them'

Unfortunately, most people are prepared to take what ever the MSM serves up as the honest truth, the actual truth seldom emerges for 30 years, and then only if it is no longer relevant. The real truth is usually somewhere between each sides' account of the facts.
When it comes to accounts of past international conflicts, confrontations and difference, it is usually the victors that get to write the history

Goodness me Dave, no need to go googling on my behalf. I just thought you might have something from a source other than the media.

Anyway, let’s examine the content of the links you generously provided.

Firstly, Facebook has no less than 2.01 Billion users per month. (so they say)

8390

And all the excitement is because someone has found that a Russian Company had made 80,000 posts in 27 Months.

8391

Now, by my calculations that’s approx 97 post per day, which frankly I wouldn’t expect to bring down the American Government or sway an election. Put another way it represented only 0.000147% of Facebook’s throughput.

Thinking about it, this site must do that many posts and I wouldn’t want to be jointly accused of causing the downfall of the National Government.

Hang on, there’s a tall bugger in a suit, with a polished head, and wearing sunglasses, beating on my door.

Dead right Ken.

Then the Americans also had Watergate with Nixon and then there were the the special favours afforded Monica Lewinsky by Bill Clinton.

And I suppose we shouldn’t leave the Brits out because they preceded all the above with the Profumo Affair.

When it comes to Dirty Politics history has no end. :D

How wonderful for them, that a self professed sceptic should be so easily manipulated.

If you read my post you’ll see that I am somewhat sceptical of those figures, but the crunch is that even if you half their figures, the matter still remains a nonsense.

I mean 80,000 posts over 27 Months, 97 per day, is not even a drop in the bucket, and hardly likely to trouble the scorers. :)

1441372 2017-11-01 21:01:00 Don't halve them, multiply by at least an order of magnitude, maybe two (or three?).
They are understating them to avoid being regulated, you see. ;)
